Countdown to Zero Exhibition
On Tuesday, 25th October 2017, students from grades 5 to 8 visited the “Countdown to Zero: Defeating Diseases Exhibition” that is open under the patronage of H.H Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Commander of the U.A.E. Armed Forces. The exhibition displays the commitment of U.A.E. to eradicate the spread of preventable diseases such as Malaria, Polio and Guinea Worm Disease. The exhibition was very interesting. For example, students had the chance to observe a living Guinea Worm and learn how this disease can quickly spread and how it can be treated and avoided (using simple water filters). At the end of the trip, students created beautiful bracelets and got real water filters that are used today in Guinea. Students enjoyed the exhibition which was very educational and fun at the same time
