Our Fresh Market! A Healthy Learning Experience…

With an objective to educate students about the importance of fruits and vegetables in their regular diet and to enhance their mental math abilities, the school organized the “Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Market”.

Over two days, students in KG1 and KG2 learned about the importance of eating fruits and vegetables and had the chance to visit the Fresh Market to learn about the taste, smell and colour of many fruits and vegetables displayed. To make their learning experience even more interactive, students were given play money, “Dirham tokens”, and were left to purchase whatever they wanted in exchange for tokens. It was amazing to see how our students implemented their mental math skills in grocery shopping. They were very excited and enthusiastic about being able to buy their favorite fruits and vegetables which they enjoyed eating and sharing throughout the day.
