National Day

On November 29, SABIS® International School-Yas Island celebrated the 46th U.A.E. National Day. More than 1,000 parents and visitors had the opportunity to explore the culture and heritage of U.A.E. through many activities and performances prepared for this occasion.

The event started with Abu Dhabi Police Music Band playing the U.A.E. National Anthem followed by a number of famous national and traditional music pieces. The program continued with our students from KG1 to grade 7 performing a number of local traditional dances, short plays and poems that expressed the love and appreciation to the U.A.E.

After the performances, everyone had the chance to enjoy several activities like horse and camel-back riding, Henna, face painting, “Keram” – Traditional UAE game, traditional live cooking stations and many more. The K9-Police department and the Civil Defense were also present this year and they amazed our visitors and students with many interactive activities and shows.
